Originally designed by George Lowe Snr and later extended by Sandy Herd, the layout offers the golfer a unique challenge with a wonderful variety of holes. The 12 holes on the South side of the railway are set in mature parkland whilst the 6 on the North side offer a complete contrast with natural heathland comprising heather and wonderful turf to play off. All the greens have been extensively drained and provide year round playability.
